It was organised by Noel Wallis and led to further revival nights at the Granada.
Westgate Club bosses were stunned by the turnout and at one stage the concert was in doubt as too many people were there. This picture was taken when people were still trying to get in.

They were taking part in a pool marathon, although we don't know if it was for charity or to raise funds for the centre.
Among them are Nicky Cox, Martin Wells, Leslie Gadd, Scott Page, Graham Drury, Ronnie Wright, Mark Fardell, 'Blackjack', Simon Clark, Matt Darwood, Shaun Herrick, Nick Haralambus, Sharon Nicols, Amanda Taylor, 'Nellie' Morgan, Shane 'Pecker' Wood, Steve Pearce, John Lawrence and Dominic Redmile.
