48p a week to empty my garden bin? Yes please!

Goodness me. I have just read the Journal dated 27th January 2012.

What is the matter with the people of Grantham? £25 a year to empty our green bins equates to 48p a week. As a pensioner living alone I am more than happy to pay the 48p a week.

It would cost me more than 48p in petrol to take it all to the tip, plus I‘d have to bag it and lift it into the car. It’s a no brainer for me.
