Crowds gather at annual Belvoir Hunt meet

DOZENS of families turned out in the cold on Monday to see the spectacle that is the Belvoir Hunt in Grantham.

The hounds and horses traditionally meet in St Peter’s Hill on Boxing Day by invitation of the Mayor, but the event was postponed until the following day this year as it fell on a Sunday.

Fans were pleased to see the gathering this year, as last year’s meet was cancelled at the last minute after the Duke of Rutland’s hounds came down with kennel cough.
