“Grantrams” would be further waste of money

IN reply to Richard Shears’ letter in last week’s Journal about ‘Grantrams’.

Please don’t put any more ideas into the minds of highways chiefs at South Kesteven District Council. We’ve already endured months of mayhem and chaos with the market place “remodelling” scenario. For what purpose? All they achieved was to waste over £1.5 million of tax-payers’ money and take away valuable parking places. It hasn’t “improved” the area.

So they don’t need any more encouragement to waste further money with their hare-brained schemes.
