Meet life-saving firefighters at Grantham Fire Station open day
FIND out if you have what it takes to be a firefighter at an upcoming open day.
Grantham Fire Station, in Harlaxton Road, will hold an open day for all the family on Sunday, September 16, between 10am and 4pm.
Station manager Andy Ford said: “The open day will help to demonstrate what we do, what services we offer and how we are working to make the community a safer place.
“I hope people take the opportunity to come down and meet their local fire crews, take part in some of the activities and have a fun day out.”
Visitors will be able to learn about community fire safety and road safety, as well as check out one of the many displays and demonstrations.
There will be also be burger and ice cream vans, a bouncy castle and wild bird corner.
Any proceeds made on the day will go to The Fire Fighters Charity, which supports serving and retired firefighters, fire personnel and their families.
