Praise is heaped upon independent school
Good OFSTEAD Report at Grantham Prep school. 900B
THE Grantham Preparatory School children and staff are celebrating a successful inspection, which they hope will lead them to joining the Independent Schools Association soon.
Headteacher Kathryn Korcz was delighted when she was told the results of the Independent Schools Inspectorate inspection, which assessed the school’s suitability of joining the association.
She said: “The Grantham Preparatory School is a very happy, inspiring place to work and I would like to thank all the children, staff, directors and parents for all their hard work in contributing to the success of the school.
“Although this interim inspection has a focus on compliance with regulatory requirements, we are all delighted that the many strengths of the school have been once again recognised by an outside body.”
The inspection report noted the school’s success in developing the pupils into ‘collaborative, communicative, enquiring, respectful and creative individuals’ and in encouraging them to achieve their full potential. It also mentioned the excellent provision of extra-curricular activities.
Ms Korcz said the inspectors’ recommendations are already in the school’s development plan. She added: “Membership to the Independent Schools Association will enhance opportunities for pupils and teachers to take part in activities alongside other independent schools throughout the country.”
