Grantham company Viking Signs has invested more than £100,000 in a new machine as it continues to ride the economic storm.

The Dysart Road firm, which employs 13 people, has installed a state-of-the-art digital flatbed cutter which can cut out signs made of a variety of materials very quickly and precisely. It also means the firm can take orders and deliver products to customers in a shorter space of time which is important because a large part of the company’s business is on-line.

Viking Signs MD Darren Joint said: “We are 20 per cent up year on year so we are continuing to grow in this climate which is not too bad.”

The company also has a successful safety signs business which offers the largest choice of signs in the country. For more details about the company and its products go to www.vikingsigns.co.uk and www.safetysignsupplies.co.uk
