lColsterworth hosted its annual sheep-shearing competition. “The work done to a very high order,” reported the Journal.

lKGGS hosted a dramatic entertainment night to raise money for the school library. “There was an excellent attendance and the event was a great success,” reported the Journal.

lMr and Mrs W. Ablewhite celebrated their golden wedding. The couple had 11 children and 59 grandchildren.

lJohn William Bellamy, known as “Happy Bellamy”, was sent to prison for stealing an overcoat.
