l A man who had just been sentenced to one week in jail by Grantham magistrates was attacked by relatives of the victim as he was being led away.

l Health Minister Enoch Powell visited Grantham. He was joined by Grantham MP J. B. Godber on a visit to Grantham Hospital.

l Villagers in Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir were concerned about a “sudden outburst of vandalism”

l Grantham MP J. B. Godber sat at the wheel of a 10-tonne steam roller whilst visiting Aveling Barford. When asked what it was for, Mr Godber replied: “flattening the Liberals”.
