Men helped lorry drivers in trouble

THESE gentlemen were responsible for getting many a lorry driver out of a tough scrape in the ‘60s and ‘70s.
They worked at B&B Garage and were pictured here in 1970.
The photograph was sent in by Brian Berry, better known as “Jabez”.
He said: “I worked there for approximately 10 years, leaving in 1975, and I enjoyed every minute of it.
“We did heavy recovery along the A1 so when people had accidents, we were there.”
