THIS Grantham football team made headlines way back in 1895 when they almost held the mighty Blackburn Rovers.
It was previously featured in the Journal’s Memory Lane pages in the 1940s after being submitted by former player Jack Broadbent of Norton Street, Grantham.
Among those pictured is an extremely well-dressed “umpire”, better known these days as a linesman.
