MR Arthur Joseph Rushworth (Terry), of Queensway, Grantham, has died in Newton House Nursing Home. He was 90.

Born in Abergavenny, South Wales, in 1922, he was the son of Lawrence and Rhoda Rushworth. He had three siblings, Charlie, Vida and Jean. The family later moved to Bradford.

On his marriage to Teresa, he moved to Grantham.

Mr Rushworth was an electrician and during his working life he had been employed at several companies, including Grantham Hospital and RAF Cranwell.

He was a DIY enthusiast and was always helping people with electrical problems.

The Rev John Cook conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Family mourners included: Teresa Rushworth, Vida and John Wood, Gillian and Nigel Coates, Joan and John Kitching, John Swiffin, Alan Kitching, Wayne Swiffin and Michael Swiffin.

Other mourners included: June and George West, Mr and Mrs Walker, Esther Jennings, Mr J. Phillips, Bob and Nuala Stoker, Michael and Nancy Barker, Ken Church, Christine Heron, Diana Dove, Dick and Mary Baxter, Walter Cave, Barbara and Ron Venables, Hugh Longland, Phil Duffy, Alan Bennett, Edward Blake, Juliet Harris, Stella Hind, Jack Tywcross, Mr and Mrs John Barker, Philomena Davies, Mr and Mrs M. Garton, Mr and Mrs Towning and Roy Veasey.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.

Donations were received for Cancer Research UK.
