Mr A. J. Shaw

MR Alan James Shaw, of Goldsmith Road, Grantham, has died at home. He was 67.

Born in Grantham, he was the loving husband of Rosemary, father to Linda and Michelle and grandfather to Macy, Connor and Thelan.

Mr Shaw was retired, but had worked as a mechanical engineer for many years at Coles Cranes and then South East Lincs Engineering.

His interests included natural history, nature, listening to music, darts, bingo and his pet dog, Zack.

The Rev Chris Boland conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Family mourners included: Rosemary Shaw, Linda Beauchamp, Michelle Matsell, Gary Beauchamp, Carl Matsell, Neil Askew, Theresa Askew, Barbara Cuthill, Sarah Askew, Carrie Beck, Barry Shaw, Keith Shaw, Caroline Shaw, Karen and Tony Vockins, Kerry Parker, Colin Palmer, Marc Eldred, Keith Eldred, Carol Musgrove, Maureen Robb, Robert Robson, Nicola Tilly, Alan Atter and Beryl Atter.

Other mourners included: Sharon Matsell, Linda Rowland, Michael Allen, Gloria Buxton, Cindy Knox, Len Hart, Isobel Tipple, Kathleen Dickens, Rosie Chapman, Pat Fendley, Corinna Holmes, Michael King, George Anderson, Arthur Winfield, Mary Winfield and Hugh McGee.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.

Donations were received for Cancer Research UK.
