Mrs M. Yarnell

MRS Monica Yarnell, of School Lane, Wilsford, has died at home. She was 75.

Born in Pinchbeck, near Spalding, Lincolnshire, she was the youngest daughter of Jack and Lillian Maddison.

She married Eric and they had two children, Susan and Martin. She was also grandmother to Steven, Samantha and Stacey and great-grandmother to Keira and Fynnlay.

At the age of 15 she left school and worked at the local shop until her marriage. She later worked as a domestic cleaner until retirement.

Her interests included knitting, tapestry and crossword puzzles.

The Rev Alan Littlewood conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Family mourners included: Eric Yarnell, Susan Burrows, Nigel Cotterill, Steven Burrows, Chantelle Blair, Samantha Burrows, Christopher Nettleton, John and Cindy Maddison, Jean Thornhill, Derek Yarnell, Francis Yarnell, Julie Yarnell, Linda and Desmond Yarnell, Charles and Tracey Yarnell, Stephanie and Mick White, Stacey Yarnell, Adam Cowell, Susan Knibbs and Sharon Knibbs.

Other mourners included: Dick and Di Fairhead, Julie Hawkins, Doris Winter, Mr and Mrs M. Harrison, Henry and Elizabeth Tickler, Harriet and Georgina Tickler, June Ratters, Pete Burrows, Gill Cowdell, Nick Bailey, Barry Hewerdine, Margarita Rattray, Pat Sheridan, John Todd, Andrew Knight, Lou and Eva Gelsthorpe, Clare Stokes, Margaret Jameson, Michael Jameson and George, Peter and Kate Tickler.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.

Donations were received for the Alzheimer’s Society.
