Wednesday, 9.20am - This classic selection of dozy parkers will be appearing in Friday's edition of the Journal.
Readers have sent us pictures of loads more cars parked atrociously in Grantham this week.

Among the offenders are the drivers of a Mercedes A-Class and a Ford Focus whose reading of the Highway Code is of the alternative school of thought to the rest of us.

Spotting the double yellow lines in Commercial Road on Sunday, they thought "what a great place to park" and put their cars half on the pavement.

Then there was the Vauxhall Corsa driver who parked at a jaunty angle with one wheel on the pavement in London Road. Text book dozy parking!

One reader spied a Greater Spotted Dozy Parker in Long Street, Great Gonerby. There's only path on one side of the road there, so Dozy thought it would be a great place to abandon the motor.

Outside Belmont Primary School, one slightly sleepy driver spotted the School Safety Zone yellow zig-zags and was strangely drawn to them.

They thought that would be a fantastic place to park up and have a doze.

And finally there was the owner of a Renault Scenic who thought nothing of leaving their car yards from the traffic lights at the junction of Manthorpe Road and Lodge Way.

Have you seen a dozy parker? Click here to e-mail us the pictures.

Is it a good idea to close Five Gates Lane?
Yes - it will be good to see it returned to countryside
