Wednesday, 9.45am: DOZY parking is not just a Grantham phenomenon!
Spanish newspaper El Diario, which covers the Santander area has a Dozy Parker section - just like your Grantham Journal.

Under the section Fotodenuncias (photo complaints), the paper invites readers to send in pictures of badly parked vehicles.

The paper was spotted by Journal reader Muriel Arnold on a recent trip to Santander.

She translated the photo caption (right) as: "Double row every day in El Alisal.

"This roundabout has ten vehicles badly parked.

"This happens every day of the year owing to the presence of a bar on the corner in which you find all the drivers."

El Diario also has its own Grot Spot of the Week section (like the Journal) which that week highlighted the problem of rubbish from the Mexican market spilling out on to the street.

Muriel wrote: "Where oh where are all the traffic cops and parking attendants in Santander and Grantham?"

Send your Dozy Parker pictures of atrocious parking in Grantham to comment@granthamjournal.co.uk
