Friday, 10.45am - PUPILS at Ingoldsby Primary School were "married" on Monday, at a pretend wedding in the village church.
Years 1 and 2 have been learning about festivals and celebrations during their religious education lessons, so teacher Gudrun Tagg decided to set up a mock wedding as a practical lesson.

Children's names were drawn from a hat and each was given a role to play, from bridesmaids and flower girls to parents of the bride and photographer.

Youngsters from the foundation stage's Hedgehog Class were the congregation.

A parent made a wedding cake, which bride Anna Pallier and groom Sam Letchworth cut at their wedding reception.

Mrs Tagg said: "We walked to the church and lots of people came out of their houses to wave at us.

"It's something the children will never forget."
