Jo Hall reports on the Journal's Bus Pass Justice campaign
Friday, 1.45pm - FIVE hundred coupons signed by Journal readers supporting our Bus Pass Justice Campaign were handed over to the council this morning.
The campaign started three weeks ago after every other council in Lincolnshire decided to offer free 24-hour bus travel to over-60s and eligible disabled people.
South Kesteven District Council was the only one to leave in place restrictions which prohibit free travel before 9.30am.
Pensioners from Ancaster, whose only morning bus is at 9.24am meaning they miss out on free travel by just six minutes, handed over the coupons to cabinet member Coun Maureen Spencer-Gregson.
