Last Thursday while walking on the pavement, from the post office to the entrance of the Isaac Newton Centre, at about 2pm, I was hit at the back of my shoulder by an obese youth riding a mountain bicycle at speed.
He did not stop, and continued to ride at speed, through the numerous pedestrians walking on the pavement.
While waiting to cross the road by the Isaac Newton entrance crossing, a second male cyclist aged about 30, rode his bicycle on the pavement
from the Lloyd's Bank area, into my back and continued across the crossing, weaving between traffic and pedestrians on the crossing.
Having shouted loudly at this male, he continued riding on the pavement on the green side, towards the Weatherspoons pub.
While he rode away at speed, he shouted abuse back, knowing that he could not be caught.
I have nearly been run down by mobility scooters on the pavements, as they approach from behind at speed, and give no warning of their presence.
Cars are parked in all parts of the town, on double yellow lines, on pavements and in dangerous traffic areas.
Some of these cars display Disabled Passes, but there is no disabled person in, or using the vehicle.
Where are the traffic wardens, where are the police? How can I report the dangerous cyclists? Discipline, respect and manners, no longer apply to a population, that has lost all its values and standards.
