22/08/08 - Green bin collection saga a waste of our money

WE were sent a letter from South Kesteven District Council saying that from the week beginning July 28, our green bin collection day would be changed from Friday to Wednesday.
On Wednesday, August 6, none were collected. I telephone the council and was told they should have been collected, but would be collected on Thursday, August 7.
The bins weren't collected. Again I telephoned the council and was told the bins would be collected on Saturday, August 9. Guess what, on Saturday they came, but only my bin was collected and not my neighbour's – six feet from mine.
My neighbour telephoned the council on August 11, and was told the bins would now be collected on Wednesday, August 13. They weren't. At last the bins were collected – except one.
What a waste of time and ratepayers' money. Who is responsible for employing these people?
