I contacted the council to ask what I needed for my bus pass as I am disabled.
I intend to use it on the Nottingham City trams when we go to the theatre as I can't use it on the buses here as they don't take wheelchairs where I live (and there is only one a day).

I was told to bring in my blue parking badge and a utility or council tax bill.

The blue badge is issued by Lincolnshire Social Services and my council tax bill is obviously issued by SKDC.
I asked how I was expected to park without problems if I was to bring my badge with me and was told to stick a note in the window explaining where I was.

Why can't they contact the relevant agencies to ascertain my entitlement rather than having original documents and paperwork?

I can get a car tax disc on line by giving my vehicle disabled certificate number.

In Grantham I have to break the law to obtain a travel pass.
