I definitely believe standards in council housing should be more uniform. SKDC's standards are appalling. It would appear that some council employees have a 'take it or leave it' attitude. The quote 'you either get a palace or a pigsty, it's the luck of the draw' just about sums it all up.
What a way to run a service! If SKDC was a private company they would have no customers at all - their service is scandalous!
I applaud Anna, the lady offered a stinking council house for making her stand over the way she has been treated.
But what a pity that she has to go to such lengths before SKDC pulled their fingers out.
Well done the Journal for supporting her, I hope you keep on the case until the house (and any others) is up to standard.
