recent correspondence in the Journal about whether Nora, 102 years 'young', from Ancaster should still be driving has been full of ill-informed opinion from both sides of the argument.
Nora may or may not be a safe and competent driver. Indeed, she might possibly be a better driver than those who protest about her being allowed on the roads!
The argument could be resolved amicably by all those opinionated individuals contributing to the purchase of a driving assessment for Nora. They need only to contact the CEO at the Driving Instructors Association (DIA) on 0845 345 5151, and a qualified instructor could be asked to conduct such an assessment. Only then the true standard of Nora's driving can be established.
