THRILL-SEEKERS, the autumn fair is on its way!
The fairground will set up in its usual spot of the Conduit Lane car park in Grantham on Thursday, where it will remain until Saturday night.
Ashley Wood, of the Showmen’s Guild, said: “We are always made to feel extremely welcome on our annual visit to Grantham each autumn and are extremely grateful to be allowed to continue what is now a tradition in the town each autumn.
“Although not on the same scale as the annual Mid-Lent fair, we do like to bring together a good selection of attractions to make a visit to our event worthwhile.”
Ashley told the Journal that Grantham families had voiced concerns that the annual fair would not be able to set up in Grantham because of the redevelopment work underway in the Market Place and Westgate area of the town.
But the extensive work will not affect the fairground tradition.
This year, visitors will find the popular Waltzers and the Cyclone Twist. The Roll Over will also be there, as well as rides for smaller children and an assortment of stalls.
