SHE may have turned 100 but age is just a number to Barbara Easton, who refuses to let her age stop her from enjoying life.
Barbara still lives at her home in New Street, Grantham, and loves nothing more than getting out and about.
Her birthday was last Tuesday, the day she received a birthday card from the Queen, as well as more cards and lots of presents and flowers.
She celebrated her centenary on Saturday at King’s Hotel with family, many of whom travelled hundreds of miles from Scotland to mark her special day.
Mayor of Grantham Rob Hearmon and his wife also attended the party.
Daughter Mary Thomson, 65, of Cheveley Park, Grantham, said: “It was a great day, my mother and everybody else had a good time.”
Barbara moved to Grantham from Scotland with Mary and her family around 32 years ago.
She enjoys reading and doing crosswords, but her biggest passion in life is her family.
Mary said: “Her family are important, she’s very family-orientated.”
