CHILDREN at Croxton Kerrial Primary School took part in ‘Grandparents and Family Day’ on Monday.
The day, which was organised to recognise the importance of their heritage, community and relationships across generations, was a great success.
Teacher Michelle Young said: “It was great, the children absolutely loved it.”
Activities included an assembly, singing and refreshments.
There were also class presentations by each year group in the school, which included poems, paintings and power points about families and school life.
The grandparents then got the opportunity to visit the classrooms and speak to the pupils about what their schooling was like.
Ms Young added: “The feedback we got from the grandparents was fantastic.”
