FRASER’S MOTORWORLD: Vauxhall Antara

FRASER checks out the Vauxhall Antara.

VAUXHALL ANTARA

LOOKS

In spite of its tall, boxy appearance, the Antara has quite a nice looking face. Compared to other cars in its segment, it does look rather appealing and interesting.

HANDLING AND PERFORMANCE

Incredibly, despite its large size, the Antara is actually easy to drive and it even has a soft ride. The Antara’s only engine choice is a 2.2 litre diesel with power ranging from 163 bhp to 184 bhp.

PRACTICALITY

The Antara’s size helps considerably when it comes to versatility.

With plenty of leg room and a boot that could fit a king size bed in it, the Antara shows that with large size comes more space.

COST

Prices start at £19,995, while mid range models will cost from £23,795

to £24,395 and top of the range models will be priced at £27,145 to

£28,595.

VERDICT

Spacious, reasonably priced, good to drive and good off road, the

Antara seems to cover all the basics and more
