Gravity FM knocked out

THE team from community radio station Gravity FM was knocked out of the Journal Quiz competition on Wednesday night.

Three teams - Gravity FM, Press Gang and The Know Nothings - played a round robin competition to decide who would win a place in the final, which takes place on Wednesday, December 14.

In the first round Gravity FM lost to the Know Nothings by 20 points to 9.

And the team’s exit from the competition was sealed when they were beaten 18-13 by Press Gang, a team made up of former Journal staff.

In the final round Press Gang beat The Know Nothings by 19 points to 9 to win the round.

The two teams will face each other again in the cup final in two weeks’ time.

Next Wednesday teams in the plate competition - Weakest Links, Mad Atters and We Sustain - will also play a round robin to decide who goes through to the final.

Finals for both the cup and plate competitions, as well as a challenge match between the two winners, will be held on December 14.

All are welcome to attend - and fancy dress is optional.

Matches takes place at the Westgate Club, Westgate, Grantham, from 7.30pm and all are welcome to attend.
