MODEL railway enthusiasts hold their annual show this weekend, offering a chance to see all kinds of lovingly-created layouts.

Grantham Railway Society’s event at Priory Ruskin Academy, Rushcliffe Road, Grantham, has its most varied selection of layouts ever, from tiny Z gauge layouts to impressive O gauge.

European railways are well-represented, while layouts from the UK include ‘Stamford East’, modelled on the terminus of the branch from Essendine in the early ‘50s.

The show is open from 10am to 5.30pm on Saturday and 9.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday. Entry is £3 for adults, £1.50 for children and £2 for senior citizens. Family tickets are available at £8.
