Fraser’s super car top 10 - which motors made the cut?
CAR-MAD Fraser Lucas, 14, from Bingham, lists his top 10 super cars of 2010.
TOP 10 SUPER CARS OF 2010
1. KOENIGSEGG AGERA
It’s not as fast as a Bugatti Veyron but it’s certainly close to it. With its powerful V8 and new ghost light system, the Agera really is a show stopper.
2. BUGATTI VEYRON SUPERSPORTS
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Bugatti has just released the Veyron Supersports, along with 1200 bhp and a top speed of 268 mph, making it the fastest road car in the world.
3. ZENVO ST1
A 7.0 V8, a turbo charger and a super charger deliver 1101 bhp to this amazing Danish super car and what’s more amazing is that it’s Denmark’s first car.
4. FERRARI 458 ITALIA
There’s no denying that the 485 is one of the prettiest cars of the year but it also has a 4.5 litre V8 with 562 bhp and a top speed of 202 mph.
5. MACLAREN MP4-12C
A 3.8 litre V8 with 600 bhp powers this bullet car. It’s not as fast as its predecessor the F1, but that doesn’t mean it’s not quick, quite impossible since it has a top speed of more than 200 mph.
6. LEXUS LF-A
With 552 bhp from a 4.8 litre V10 and a top speed of 202 mph, the LF-A is an incredible machine from a car company that has never built a super car before.
7. PORCHE 911 GT2RS
If you thought the regular GT2 was the best, think again. This GT2RS model has 612 bhp from an almighty twin turbo charged 3.6 litre flat six, along with a top speed of 205 mph.
8. MERCEDES SLS
When it comes to showing off, the SLS is no exception. Like its spiritual predecessor, the SL Gullwing, the SLS has Gullwing doors. It also has a 6.2 litre V8 with 563 bhp and can also do more than 200 mph.
9. AUDI R8 SPYDER
520 bhp from a 5.2 litre V10. 0.60 in just 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 194 mph and now with roof cut off the R8 is more of a breath of fresh air than ever - quite literally in fact.
10. ASTON MARTIN ONE-77
With a 7.3 litre V12, producing 700 bhp, this car makes more sound than AC/DC, not to mention 0.60 taking 3.5 seconds and a bone shaking speed of 228 mph.
