lThe Grantham King’s School rugby XV defeated a strong Stamford team. Doubleday was the King’s School star as they won 17-8.

lThe Watch Committee ordered the closure of the road through Westgate, the Market Place and parts of Guildhall Street for the three days of the Mid-Lent Fair.
