BELVOIR’S under-14 side succumbed to Grantham at Gorse Lane in June, 1992.
Grantham batted first and made a sedate start before Belvoir’s Andrew Norris snared the first of his two wickets.
Grantham’s Mark Durham turned the game on its head when he came to the crease. He hit a four off his first ball and never looked back.
Combining with Osborn, the pair put on 50 runs in just six overs as Grantham finished on 99-3.
Belvoir began strongly with James Clayfield and Norris taking charge before wickets began to fall.
Neil Wing took the weight of the run chase on his back, hitting 27 not out but there was not enough support to push the team close to the target.
Osborn was the pick of the bowlers with 2-14 as Belvoir fell 15 runs shy of the target, ending up 88-4.
