YELLOW rubber duckies will float along the river through Bottesford on Boxing Day.
It is the annual Boxing Day duck race, organised by the Vale of Belvoir Lions to raise cash for charities.
The race will start at 11am at Wash Dyke Bridge, in Grantham Road, and will finish at the footbridge by St Mary’s Church, in Normanton Lane.
There will be around 500 of the ducks which will be shepherded around the River Devon’s natural obstacles by undoubtedly cold volunteers. Owners of the first six ducks across the finish line will win a prize.
The Nottingham-based Foresters Morris Men will also entertain on the day.
Ducks are on sale for £1 at businesses in Bottesford.
