Beekeeping talk at Woolsthorpe Manor

A BEEKEEPER will give an insight into his hobby with a talk at Woolsthorpe Manor on Tuesday.

Simon Croson’s talk and demonstration, called Beginning Beekeeping, is from 7pm to 9pm and the cost is £25. To book, call 01476 862823.

The work of Isaac Newton, who was born at Woolsthorpe Manor, will be described in two talks being given on Friday, June 1, at the National Trust property.

Newton’s Gravitational Theory and Newton’s Alchemical Work will be discussed under Isaac’s apple tree at Woolsthorpe Manor at intervals throughout the afternoon, starting at 12.30pm.

There is no extra charge beyond the admission price to the manor, and the talks will be inside if wet.

On Sunday, June 3, the Best of British will be celebrated with a display of Morgan cars, Allington Morris dancers, talks, costumed guides and children’s crafts. The attractions will be at the manor and Science Discovery Centre’s normal opening times of 11am to 5pm.
