Belton Horse Trials set to return to Grantham
Belton Horse Trials.
One of the highlights of the Grantham calendar, the Belton International Horse Trials, is just three weeks away.
Advance tickets are on sale for the three-day event, which is popular with fans of equestrian pursuits, countryside lovers and families looking for a great day out.
As well as top-class showjumping from a host of world-class and Olympic champions, there is exclusive shopping, fine dining, classic car displays, canine agility shows, traditional fun fair, carriage driving demonstrations and much more.
In this post-Olympic year, two of the fences that made up the showjumping course in Greenwich Park will be brought to Belton.
The silver-winning Team GB will be competing alongside 16 other nations, while Captain Mark Phillips returns as designer of the 3-star and advanced courses.
The three-day trials begin on Friday, April 12, with Lincolnshire Day, featuring a charity luncheon, late night shopping with more than 100 tradestands, and county showcase organised by the county council.
Saturday is Countryside Day, with dog agility demonstrations, activities for children and the popular inter-hunt relay.
Sunday is Family Day and the conclusion of the Grantham Cup international competition.
Advance tickets and lunch packages are available to purchase online at www.granthamcup.co.uk. Under-14s free.
