History expert gives lowdown on cathedrals
TELEVISION history expert Jonathon Foyle will be aiming high when he gives a lecture in Grantham on the subject ‘Climbing Britain’s Cathedrals’.
Dr Foyle is the guest of the Lincolnshire branch of the Richard III Society and will speak at the Ramada Hotel on Saturday, July 14.
Following his successful series on BBC Television, Climbing Great Buildings, architectural historian and novice climber Dr Foyle will share his experiences climbing some of the nation’s great cathedrals in the society’s Mugaseth memorial lecture.
Jonathan is also known for his TV series History Mysteries and Hidden House History.
He regulalrly appears on Channel 4’s Time Team and is chief executive of the World Monuments Fund.
The event will be held in the hotel’s Dunsdon Room and starts at 7.30pm.
