Join the weekend’s river rubbish clean -up

GET your waders on and get out and about this weekend to help clean up the River Witham in Grantham.
Grantham Rivercare leader John Knowles is looking for volunteers to help clear some of the debris from the river this weekend. John recently checked the state of the river and has identified areas that need attention.
He said: “First impressions were favourable but by the time I got to Wyndham Park it was not looking so good and then on to the stretch in front of the college and near the upper footbridge where it is in a pretty awful state.
Most of the rubbish is lightweight, like bottles and cans although I did see a shopping trolley and a traffic cone.”
The group will meet at Bridge End Road, Grantham, tomorrow (Saturday) at 10am.
