There is a real treat in store for music lovers when The Haffner Wind Ensemble, one of Britain's leading chamber ensembles, play at Central Technology and Sport College on Wednesday, in Grantham Music Club's final concert of the season.Leader Nicholas Daniel (oboe) and Joy Farrall (clarinet) are noted soloists who have played for the club on a number of occasions.

They are joined by Michael Cox (flute), Sarah Burnett (bassoon) and Stephen Bell (horn) to make up the ensemble, which is regularly heard on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM and tours extensively in the UK and Europe.

The Haffner Wind Ensemble enjoys an enviable reputation for imaginative programming, juxtaposing the standard classic and the contemporary, for championing contemporary music, for outstanding musicianship and, above all, for its warm and engaging performances.

The concert at the college on Rushcliffe Road will begin at 7.30pm. Admission for non-members is 8 (7) and 1 students. Refreshments will be available.
