A STARGAZING event is being held at Isaac Newton Primary School, Dysart Road, Grantham, on Monday, January 16, as part of the BBC Stargazing Live 2012 project.

Amateur astronomer Jonathan Turner has organised the event, which runs from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.

There will be telescopes available on the school field for visitors to use and astronomy-themed activities for children inside the school.

Anybody interested in learning more about the heavens is welcome to attend, and guests are welcome to take their own telescope or binoculars.
