An exhibition at the Guildhall Arts Centre will feature paintings inspired by the town’s reaction to the visit of the Olympic torch.
Artist Jim Allen said: “I was so impressed by the town’s turnout - especially given the atrocious weather that day - that I decided to paint the occasion. But there was a lot more to it than I had thought and it took quite some time to complete.”
The exhibition will be in the coffee lounge until Saturday, December 22.
