St Peter's Hill Players give a home town airing to Natural Causes by Grantham comedy scriptwriter and playwright extraordinaire Eric Chappell, with performances at the Guildhall Arts Centre from Wednesday to Saturday, March 31 to April 3.The Rising Damp, Duty Free and Only When I Laugh man has come up with a highly-original comedy thriller in a local presentation of black comedy at its blackest and best.

It centres on Vincent (Alan Wartnaby), whose discovery of an odourless, tasteless, all-natural poison has turned him into a professional suicide merchant.

Mistaken identities, a love triangle and the well-intentioned interventions on behalf of the Samaritans, all give rise to some hilarious consequences.

All performances start at 7.30pm. Tickets at 5 for Wednesday and 6 for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances are available at the box office (Tel: 01476 406158).
