Thumbs up for lunch at Knightingales in Grantham

Reporters Marie Baker and Suzie Pike turned ladies that lunch and paid a visit to Knightingales in Guildhall Street, Grantham.
Marie writes:
IT was the nice setting at Knightingales which impressed me most, although the food was lovely too.
Both the interior of the building and the outdoor seating areas create a relaxed atmosphere - in fact I didn’t want to return to work after lunch! Admittedly, that might have had more to do with the all-day breakfast I opted for.
It was made up of two Lincolnshire sausages, two rashers of bacon, egg (fried or scrambled, it was nice to have the choice), beans, tomatoes and toast (again, a choice of white or granary, bread or toast).
Everything on the plate was delicious, and my only criticism is that the scrambled eggs were watery so everything else was swimming.
At £4.95, it was very reasonable, plus the service was faultless; quick, efficient and very friendly.
And finally, I had a mocha which was very, very nice.
Thumbs up from me!

I chose to order the quiche from the specials board, which came with a huge portion of salad including lots of cucumber and tomato and a massive serving of coleslaw.
It was a really tasty lunch, the quiche had a nice texture and the flavour was not too strong. The salad was really fresh and the coleslaw was nice and creamy.
On the side the meal had a slice of bread and butter, you can choose from granary or white, but this was too much for me to attempt.
There were quite a variety of different drinks to choose from, I had a Belvoir Fruit Farms Elderflower Presse, which I love.
Unfortunately we were too full for pudding but there were some really nice looking cakes on display that we may have to go back and try.
