Thursday, 9am - YOUNGSTERS will get the chance to meet and greet their favourite TV characters at Twinlakes this summer. After seeing them on TV and pestering mum and dad for all the latest branded toys and gadgets, children will be over the moon to meet their idols face-to-face at the Melton Mowbray park.

Kicking off the summer of special appearances will be Nickelodeon's SpongeBob Squarepants on Sunday, June 21.

He will spend the day wandering through the park, meeting the children and posing for photos.

His visit will be followed up by the popular Dora The Explorer and her pal Diego on Sunday, July 12.

The Spanish-speaking duo will be popping up across the park throughout the day.

And finally, on Sunday, September 13, everyone's favourite pooch Scooby-Doo will be mooching through the park.
