I have just been to the council recycling depot in Alexander Road with my car and trailer to dispose of a large quantity of hedge cuttings.
The operative told me that from April this year, trailers will not be allowed in the depot.
I cannot get a large quantity in my car boot, so several journeys would have to take place, and with a round trip of 18 miles per journey.
This is more expense and another reason for the fly-tippers to continue.
As for the green bin saga, £25 is only the tip of the iceberg.
How much will it cost next year?
