Thursday, noon - WORK by local artists was showcased at the first exhibition to be organised by Kesteven Leisure Artists Society in Grantham on Saturday.
The exhibition, at The Guildhall Arts Centre, included work from professional artists Malcolm Doughty, Roger Heaton, Janet Whittle and Margaret Hayward and five art clubs, including the organisers, Grantham Art Club and town-based Painting for Pleasure.

Graham Humphrey, from Kesteven Leisure Artists Society, said they hope to make the exhibition an annual event.

He said: "The standard of work was very high and everyone who came along really enjoyed it as it's something new for the town.

"It was a good way of promoting local artists' work and we hope to organise another one next year."
