Wednesday, 9am - Deep cleans of all inpatient hospital wards in the county begin next week as part of a programme announced by the Government last year.
Over the next few months wards will be cleaned one bay at a time when empty of patients.

The cleaning will involve wall washing, dismantling and cleaning beds and cleaning light fittings, radiators, vents, and electrical equipment.

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust chief nurse Sylvia Knight said: "The special deep cleans will make a tangible difference to the appearance and cleanliness of all our wards and are very worthwhile.

"They will be a major step in the fight against infections."
