Driver treated by firefighters after tractor catches fire

Tuesday, 9.30am - THE driver of a tractor which caught fire in Great Gonerby this morning was treated for smoke inhalation before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

The tractor and trailer carrying a timber wood load caught fire Occupation Road at around 2.20am.

Firefighters from Grantham and Corby Glen were called to the scene.

The fire caused severe damage to the tractor, the front half of the trailer and the wood load.

The cause was an electrical fault in the engine compartment.
