Thursday - 11am - A NEW footbridge in Dudley Road, Grantham, is due to open by the end of next week.
Lincolnshire County Council is installing the new bridge after initially doing emergency repairs to the surface of the old one, which connects Dudley Road to the Riverside Walk at Bridge End Road.

Area highways manager Mark Heaton said: "The previous surfacing was dangerous and presented trip hazards.

"Due to being near a sheltered housing site, a temporary low-cost surface was laid as an emergency measure to safeguard members of the public.

"This is prior to the reconstruction of the whole bridge which is currently being undertaken."
