Thursday, 8pm - WAR hero and film star Richard Todd celebrated his 90th birthday with a party this evening.
Mr Todd, star of numerous films, including The Dambusters and The Longest Day, had a distinguished military career before becoming a successful actor.
He was among the first of the Allied troops to land in Normandy on D-Day.
Tonight's party at Grantham House was organised by a group of friends known as the 'Todd Squad'.
A Lancaster Bomber flypast was organised to honour the occasion.
Speaking at the party, Newark MP Patrick Mercer described Mr Todd as one of the greatest living Englishmen.
