Monday, 2.15pm - A WOMAN'S wish list of things to do before she turns 40 is another step closer to being to completed, thanks to two police community support officers.
Jan Hollingworth, of Redmile Walk, has five targets to reach by her birthday in October - to lose two stone in weight, see Westlife in concert, become a godmother, learn to drive and to take a trip in the back of a police car.

Losing weight gave her the confidence to pursue her ultimate dream and she walked into the Grantham Police Station, in Swingbridge Road, and simply asked if she could take a ride in a panda car.

PCSOs Simon Wall and Hayley Sugden were more than happy to oblige and they took Jan and her daughter Melissa, 17, home.

Jan said: "It feels brilliant to have ticked it off my list.

"I did cry when I got out the car because I've wanted to do it for so long and I finally plucked up the courage, which was an achievement on its own. The tears were building up and just burst when I got out.

"The PCSOs were fantastic, even more so because they were going off duty and they still did it for me."

Jan recently became godmother to her best friend's 11-month-old grandson Jaiden Crowther, and she is going to a Westlife concert on Monday.

With a driving licence the only thing standing in the way of five ticks, she is determined to take lessons as soon as she can.

What are the top five in your wish list? What crazy shenanigans are you determined to get up to before your next birthday?
